Staycation

2020 was the year of the staycation in the UK, as pandemic restrictions meant that it was not possible to travel abroad. One summer staycation was booked every 11 minutes after Boris Johnson lifted limitations on overnight stays in June 2020. This photo series documents my own camping trip in Scotland with my young family that summer. Every day was a rollercoaster of emotions for us in the new “normal” and no more so thant during this trip, as we attempted to navigate what should have been a straightforward holiday, under such unusual circumstances.
